Assessor Support Services for Schools, FE Colleges and Higher Education
As part of the range of services offered by Brainwaves Education Ltd we are able to provide an Assessor Support Service to Schools, Colleges and Universities.
At specific times of the academic year many Disability Resource Centres in Higher and Further Education are inundated with requests from Students and Tutors for Diagnostic Assessments, overstretching their own in-house support services and resources. In some cases, due to staff changes and training issues, Disability Resource Centres may also be unable to provide an initial Screening Programme to help manage and control this workload. Recently changes in this area, together with the phased introduction of the SpLD Practising Certificate has helped spread this workload amongst Specialist Teachers and Psychologists, however, during periods of high demand additional support may still be required. Jane Dupree of Brainwaves Education Ltd is able to help Disability Resource Centres by providing the support of a suitable qualified Teacher on daily basis. For many Disability Resource Centres this offers a flexible and cost effective solution to a perennial issue, where demand for staffing and resources is difficult to predict. - Access Arrangements for GCSE and GCE Qualifications
For Schools and FE Colleges who do not have a suitably qualified Specialist Teacher involved in assessing SpLd Students for Exam Access Arrangements, Jane Dupree of Brainwaves Education Ltd is happy to provide an Assessor Support Service as required. Jane Dupree is a suitable qualified Specialist Teacher and holder of a SpLD Assessment Practicing Certificate.
