Specialist Educational Assessments
Brainwaves Education Ltd is able to provide a wide range of Assessment Services. Our assessments are all carried out by suitably qualified Specialist Teachers and Tutors who in additional either hold a Certificate of Competence in Educational Testing, or for DSA Assessments, our Specialist Teachers also hold the SpLD Assessment Practising Certificate
Assessments may be requested for several reasons and as such should be fit for purpose. As a parent you may be concerned about your childs progress at school and want an independent assessment of their current levels of attainment. You may suspect your child has Dyslexia and requires an assessment that offers a diagnosis, together with a recommended teaching programme. You may require an assessment to provide evidence of an already diagnosed Specific Learning Difficulty for Exam Access Arrangements at GCSE, A Level or University. Assessments conducted are individualised for these purposes.

There is a £60 fee for these consultations however should the individual proceed to book a full Educational Assessment with us, we will deducted the £60 from our Assessment fee.

Diagnostic Assessments for Students in Higher Education
If you are unsure as to whether your child would benefit from a Educational Assessment we also offers a 1 hour Pre-Assessment Consultation with Jane Dupree. There may be a number of reasons why a parent may seek a private assessment for their child and often several factors to consider. In some cases it may be benefical for the parent to meet with Jane Dupree prior to booking an assessment with us to first consider the current situation and review any support already in place, (including previous assessments) to ensure an assessment is recommended. Parents are asked to send to us documentation of their child’s progress at school, e.g. school reports and IEP’s, prior to the consultation. There is a £60 fee for these consultations however should the individual proceed to book a full Educational Assessment with us, we will deducted the £60 from our Assessment fee.
