Study Skills Training Programme

Brainwaves Education Ltd is offering a new specialist study skills programme which is delivered over a six week period.

The programme consists of 6 study skill topic areas delivered over 5 separate training sessions.

Target audience for this training

Dyslexia specialist tutors who wish to develop their dyslexia friendly support strategies above and beyond basic literacy support

Training areas covered

• Developing thinking skills across the curriculum
• Higher order reading skills: extracting meaning from a range of texts including students use of research with search engines on the web and note taking skills
• Higher order writing skills for different purposes and audiences
• Making the most of your memory and learning style together with revision skill techniques
• Developing exam techniques and making the most of exam access arrangements
• Better use of everyday IT tools and software

Additional Information

DAY 1 –   9:30 to 3:30pm – Full day   (Lunch provided)

Course Fees & Attendance  
£450 for the complete programme consisting of one full day and 4 further morning sessions, or £120 per training day.  Attendance on Day 1 is compulsory and a minimum booking of two training days is required.

For schools wishing to book several places we offer a 10% discount for second and third course participants.

For individuals who already have some prior experience of delivering study skills support there is the flexibility within this programme to choose and book a reduced number of sessions based on your own training needs. Please note that attendance on Day 1 of this programme is compulsory and a minimum booking of two training days is required.
